The All-China Women's Federation President Shen Yueyue on Saturday attended a ceremony in Beijing marking the 20th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation, alongside Andrei Denisov, the Russian ambassador to China.
Shen, also Vice-Chairperson of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, the nation's top legislative body, and Denisov participated in a space and aviation science popularization program with children from both countries and inaugurated a "China-Russia youth friendship wood".
Shen said guided by leaders of the two countries, new achievements and heights are gained in the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era between them.
Chinese and Russian women and children have carried out exchange programs in various forms with the aim to bolster bilateral friendship and win-win cooperation and to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state with concrete actions, she said.
The exchanges will contribute to writing a new chapter of China-Russia good-neighborliness and friendship in the new era and building a community with a shared future for humanity, she added.
